Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long will my boat remain listed?

A. When your boat is sold and you no longer require the listing, we'd like you to delete it yourself so that you will not be troubled by prospective buyers. Unless you let us know to the contrary, boats that have been listed for a year or more will be deleted.

Q. I've uploaded my boat's details, how long long will it be before it appears on the public pages?

A. Usually no more than a couple of days.

Q. When I edit my listing, the picture files do not appear in the file upload boxes. Do I need to upload them afresh?

A. No, you don't need to do this if you are happy with the existing pictures. You only need to enter image file details if you want to upload new images.

Q. How can I include a link to my boat for sale page on other web sites?

A. Get your browser to display your boat for sale page and it will appear in the browsers address window. It will have the form: www.pangolin.co.nz/broker/view_boat.php?idx=XX where XX is a number that identifies your boat. Include it in the following html tab that you can paste into any other web page that you want linked to your boat sale:

<a href="www.pangolin.co.nz/broker/view_boat.php?idx=XX">My boat for sale</a>

Q. Can I use HTML in my boat's description?

A. Sorry but not yet.

Q. I've just edited my listing and uploaded new image files but when I view the changes the same old image files are shown?

A. Your browser has probably cashed the old image files. Click its refresh button and see if this corrects the problem. If not, try deleting your browser's temporary internet files (Internet Explorer) files and again click the refresh button.
